In 1890, Cavan-born Irish immigrant Marcus Daly founded the town on Hamilton, Montana.
Today, over 115 years later, this town, founded by an Irish-immigrant, will host an anti-immigrant sham "hearing" run by modern day Know-Nothings/Do-Nothings.
The hearings delay real action on immigration reform. They provide a forum for House Know-Nothings to bash the comprehensive immigration reform bill passed by a bi-partisan Senate in May.
The Senate Bill (S2 2611) provides a path for the 50,000 undocumented Irish living in the country to earn their way to legal status. No other bill or proposal would help the Irish undocumented.
House Know-Nothings continue to play politics with immigration instead of getting something done. Hamilton, founded by an Irish immigrant, in a state with a rich history of Irish immigration was an interesting choice of location for the anti-immigration "hearing."

PLEASE DONT LET THE IRISH DOWN! PEOPLE ARE TOO SELFISH THESE DAYS AND FORGET HOW IT ALL BEGAN. THESE ANTI IMMIGRANT PEOPLE ARE NOT MANY BUT ARE COMING FORTH. FOLKS WE HAVE TO STAND UP AND HAVE A VOICE THERE ARE MORE PRO IMMIGRANT THAN ANTI IMMIGRANT. COME ON GUYS YOUR VOICE DOES MATTER....
People who show the sort of bigotry toward those who hold different opinions than they do on immigration policy issues are people that we would be better without in the United States anyway.
This should be a country where people with differing opinions on policy issues can debate them without being demonized.
Our country would be better off without hatemongers like you.
