Happy Valentine's Day

Because of the holiday, the weekly Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform meeting normally held on Wednesday evenings in the Heritage has been rescheduled until Thursday, February 15th.

ILIR Executive Director Kelly Fincham will be on hand to provide the latest information on ILIR activities.

Nothing says I love you so well as a "Legalize the Irish" tee shirt or wristband. Unfotunately, the ILIR is unable to provide same day delivery.

However, you can celebrate Valentine's Day by signing up as a couple to join the ILIR for the National Lobby Day and Rally in Washington DC on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

Couples who lobby Congress together on behalf of the undocumented Irish, stay together.

Who says you can’t mix political activism and romance?
I hope that one day a long time from now I will be able to tell my AMERICAN GRANDCHILDREN that I met their grandmother at an Immigration Rally in Washington DC in 2007. I will be able to tell them that by us making the sacrifice of taking a day off work and spending it Lobbing on Capitol Hill was the springbox from which legislation was enacted that created an EARNED PATH TO CITIZENSHIP for the undocumented Irish.
And because of that, the Irish customs, culture, organizations, associations and football clubs continued to flourish.

If you would like to be that GRANDMOTHER, I will meet you on March 7th at the Rally in DC.
