The issue of comprehensive immigration reform looms high on the list of legislative business that must be taken up in the new Congress. The possibility of a bill that would be advantageous to undocumented Irish residents in the U.S. as well as those wishing to come from Ireland was enhanced significantly by the results of the November elections. The Ancient Order of Hibernians will, as we have for over 170 years, be in the vanguard of those supporting the passage of legislation that is beneficial to Irish immigrants.
