Harkin and Mooney in Washington to attend march for illegal Irish

The largest ever number of people are expected to take part in a rally in Washington this afternoon in support of demands that Irish illegals in the US be allowed to remain.
The Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform will meet US politicians in a bid to introduce the necessary legislation.
Leitrim Senator Paschal Mooney and Sligo Leitrim Independent TD Marian Harkin are among a delegation of Irish policitians in Washington to meet with US Presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator John McCain, Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama.
Speaking from Washington Senator Mooney hopes it will have an impact on legislation for Irish illegal immigrants.
